About Us
Our
Story
The story of MemoLink began as a heartfelt final-year project.
MemoLink was born as a collaborative initiative between Information Systems students: Lihi Tendler, Omri Lockitch and Rotem Ozer, the "Alon and Ella" nonprofit organization, and the project's initiator, Mickey Shefet - all driven by a shared desire to connect bereaved families with parents seeking to give their child a name with deep meaning.
The platform aspires to build a human and emotional bridge — through the sharing of personal stories, values, and memories, allowing each family to choose a name that carries a story and honors a life.
Our vision is to expand circles of remembrance and connection, giving space to personal legacies that continue to resonate — through a new name, given with love.
Alon and Ella Association provides guidance, support, and assistance to those in need—including the sick, people with disabilities, lone soldiers, and other vulnerable populations—as well as to victims of the war, including evacuees, the wounded, and the families of abductees. Our mission is to strengthen the spirit of mutual responsibility among the citizens of Israel by creating as many connections as possible between anyone who wants to help and anyone who needs assistance. Volunteering is the key to reinforcing this mutual responsibility and building a stronger, more compassionate society. We serve everyone, regardless of gender, age, race, or religion.
How You Can Use MemoLink
Whether you’re a family wishing to share the memory of a loved one, or someone looking to name your child after a hero,
MemoLink gives you the tools to build that bridge.
You can create a personalized memorial page using a thoughtful template, share photos and moments on a baby’s page, search for names based on values or personality traits, and even reach out directly to families through a private message.
Everything on the site is built to honor life — and to help ensure that every name chosen carries with it a story worth remembering.
